Men who don't really give a shit what most people on the sidelines think. Men who are willing and capable of whipping the teams into shape and having a vision. No matter how flawed or wrong or backwards the vision seems, there needs to be one. Or have we all forgotten what a organizational clusterfuck F1 was before Bernie and Max got their hands dirty?

Maybe, but just not men who look like Bernie.

The idea of a Bernie-less F1 scares me. He is single handedly responsible for making it the sport what it is today and the sport it has been for the past 30 years+. You can nary find a f1 fan today (one less than 40 years old at least) who doesn't owe 100% of his love for f1 to Bernie.

If people don't trust me, I'm sure they'll trust Murray.

That's along the lines of what I was thinking of earlier today, actually. I think sometimes it's easy to talk shit about Bernie because, let's face it, he's had his fair share of controversy both in F1 and outside of F1, and it's easy to blame all the crap that's been going on in formula one on him. But when we step back from all of that, there's no denying he's done wonders for F1 and brought it to where it is now.
That said though, I feel like his age (and things that go with it) mean that soon it might be time for him to wane out and help someone step in to start running things, hopefully making the transition pretty painless.

Agreed entirely. He might be morally corrupt, but fuck it. He's been successful.

Personally, I think Bernie has passed his expiration date. 83 is just too old to run much of anything let alone F1. The groundwork has been laid and I think some new and younger blood would only benefit. I'm not the only one who thinks F1 is losing it in several important ways. I just hope his replacement isn't one of his daughters.
